Senior MicroStrategy Consultant
The Senior MicroStrategy Consultant provides advisory (70%) and development (30%) work to Data Meaning clients. The Consultant empowers the client to make informed decisions by providing timely, relevant, and accurate answers to their business questions. To achieve this mission, the Consultant works to understand business needs and technical requirements, and design and implement high value solutions in the MicroStrategy platform. The Consultant is a seasoned professional and trusted adviser.
This position is in Coral Springs, FL or McLean, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers billable consulting services. Efforts may be directed toward various MicroStrategy and supporting products and services
- Defines a project approach to ensure client and Data Meaning account success. Provides critical and constructive guidance to the client, steering them towards a long term vision for success
- Solves business problems at a strategic level leveraging experience, best practices, and methods of abstraction (business / technology concepts and models)
- Builds and expands in depth knowledge and application experience with the MicroStrategy platform
- Leads large, strategic client engagements. May also assume selected engagement management responsibilities
- May perform functional or technical design
- Provides content and support to the Data Meaning account team, helping to scope and estimate the engagement as well as shape the solution concept
- May also engage with partners in either a business development, mentoring, or implementation capacity
- Demonstrates a strong presence and ability to influence internal and client C-level executives
- Is confident communicating and influencing the client in challenging and difficult situations
- Drives knowledge sharing and collaboration with product development
- May actively define methodology for specific solutions / offerings
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical, or related field
- 8-10 years of industry, technology and services experience, often with additional industry-recognized certifications and/or publications in their area of expertise
- MicroStrategy Certified Engineer, on version 9.4.1 or more recent
- Significant experience designing and implementing enterprise wide systems
- In depth knowledge and expertise in a technology-related specialty with proven application for customer success
- Experience successfully leading and delivering multiple project engagements
- Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills
- Travel, 50% or more depending on client needs
